O Brother, Where Art Thou?

When that one man was shooting the cows and when one got run over everyone started to laugh and i wondered why they were doing that because it wasn't funny. But the part after the sirens when they woke up and thought their friend was a toad was. :) this movie isn't the best movie i have seen but it is ok.

Summer Epic Simile

When the year comes around and gets to summer i am as happy as a little kid on Christmas when they get to meet Santa Claws for the first time, their eyes are just filled with joy and with all of the presents under the tree whether they are red, blue, purple, or striped, it doesn't matter they are just happy its Christmas.

Project Checkpoint

I don't know what i am going to do quite yet. But i do know that i am going to be working with Christina and Maiya. We are going to be making a movie. We also decided we were going to use my dog and Christina's camera. I don't have one so i can't use mine.
We don't know for sure who's house we are going to do it at yet. We might just switch around. Both Christina and I's dad works with computers so we might ask them to help us with making the trailer of the movie. It is going to be hard for us to act without making it a joke because there is just guys in this movie except for Curley's wife and this is an all girl group.

Video-Romeo and Juliet/Edward and Bella.

Since I am obsessed with Twilight I decided I was going to look for something that was related to it and Romeo and Juliet, in a way, because sometimes when I watch Twilight it reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, that's where I got the idea. I thought this one was good because it has a line of Romeo and Juliet in it. Also Edward and Bella were brought together by looks (and in Edward's case also smell). They just seem so happy when they are around eachother and they would give their lives for one another, just like Romeo and Juliet.

Picture Blog: Church

I went on google.com and typed in Verona, because the play is based there. I looked through it and i found this church at this websight, http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/details.php?gid=102&sgid=&pid=2431. When I think of this book in my head I imagened the church looking just like this. It is older and has plenty of windows. That might be why it reminded me of it so much. I thought it was pretty to. :)

Romeo and Juliet: Act Two

I liked the scene of Romeo leaving Benvolio and Mercutio to go and find Juliet. I thought it was cute how he left his best friends to go look for the love of his life. What happened was that he left his friends before they all left the Capulet property so Romeo got to stay inside and he climbed up the orchard wall to look for her. He compared Juliet to the sun, saying that she is so beautiful that she makes night bright because she is as bright as the sun. She came out on the balcony and she started talking to herself about Romeo and why he has to be a Montague. Earlier she says "My only love sprung from my only hate!" and she is saying there that she loves him but he is a Montague and her family is enemy's with the Montagues.
I know that they die at the end so I think that they get married and Tybalt gets involved with the whole "Romeo came to the party so i am going to get revenge" thing so that isn't a good thing.
Nothing like this scene has ever happened to me and I don't think i would have done the same thing Romeo did. He had a lot of guts going up that wall to look for Juliet. He could have been killed but he did it anyway. I wouldn't have the guts to do something like that. But I might have reacted the same way Juliet did.

Characters in Romeo and Juliet

I choose Benvolio because i have a friend like him. I think Benvolio is a loud, conceded person. But i think that he would be the kind of person that is always happy and trying to make others happy. I think he is a tall, skinny man. I also think he has short, curly blond or red hair. I think that he would be just like my friend if i met him now but as a guy instaid of my friend which is a girl.
Benvolio is like my friend for what i described him by. My friend is a little conceded and she has ADHD so she is very loud all the time. I love her anyway. I wish i had more friends like him because i think it would be so much fun to be around him.

Romeo and Juliet: Premonitions

One time about a year ago i had a dream that i was going to have some really bad luck the next day. I obviously didn't beleve my dream and the next day surly enough i lost $10 and i got a bad grade on a test i really studied for and just everything went wrong. It was horrable...but now i acctually "listen" to things like that.

Shakespearean Stories

I have seen She's the man and i liked it a lot! I think that it is a love triangle. I think that they got the idea of the love triangle from Shakespeare but i think they gave it a twist, because there is only two people but it is a love triangle because one of the people dresses up as another person so that is why i think they made it a twist. In A Midsummer Night's Dream there was a love square until Puck messed everything up. But that is just another example of love triangles and love squares.

Anticipating Shakespeare

So far in A Midsummer Night's Dream I do get most of it. Some of the things i get by just figureing out what goes on next but i usually get it when it happens. I am understanding the word choices a lot more than i did before. I think it helps to watch a movie to understand how they talk before we read Romeo and Juliet. I really like how Shakespeare writes. It shows how people used to talk and it is very interesting to try to figure out what they are saying. I like a little veriaty in my reading. I have never read a book that is writen like Shakespeare's writing. I am very excited to read Romeo and Juliet, many of my friend's tell me it is a good book.

The Worst Part of Animal Farm

I think the worst part of Animal Farm so far is when Boxer gets sent to the Glue factory. I think it is so mean what Napoleon does. I thought he was going to be a good pig but he is a jerk! I thought Boxer was a loyal and hardworking horse and Napoleon sent him to the Glue Factory!
If Benjamin caught the sign on the side of the truck that took Boxer away i think Boxer could have made it. But i don't think it was Ben's fault. It is desterbing that Napoleon would do something like that. I knew that he was bad but Boxer was a big help to the farm.

Freewrite/Insight: Animal Farm

So far I think this book is better than To Kill a Mockingbird. I love animals and so i think this is a good book for me. I am always wanting to know what else the animals can do in this book that animals can't do in real life. I think that the animals names and their actions work with the animal they are. Also the author did a good job with Mollie. So far she is my favorite character. She is funny and always happy and giddy.
