I am doing the poem Barter by Sara Teasdale for the Poetry Out Loud competition in the classroom. I chose it because i sang it once before and it was my favorite song then. I didn't really think about what it meant but now that i realize it is a poem and that i am reading in front of the class i know what it means now and i really love it. It tells how lovely life is!
I am glad that i chose this poem because it reminds me of when i sang it in middle school. I am excited to read it for the competition! :)

Good job this paragraph was really well written. I loved how you put your personal view of the poem in and how the poem was so upbeat. It made me smile when i read it. Keep up the great writing style!
